There are many things that people have done and do wrong as far as the environment that we live in. What I have seen over the past 40 odd years is a vast improvement in how we act.

When I was young, it was commonplace for people to throw litter and cigarette butts out the window of their cars; they changed their oil in the bush and just dropped it into the soil; and didn't respect animals anywhere near the way they are treated today. I think this is a fantastic achievement that I don't think is given it's fair due - society has changed.

We have come so far in our pursuits to respect and save our environment that in some areas we have excluded people from it altogether and there is talk of more of this occurring. Maybe it is time for a more balanced approach?
