It is hard to believe it is only a short boat ride from Brisbane City.

If you ever needed a reason to visit Moreton Island, the Moreton Island Fishing Classic is it.

I was at the inaugural event in 2012 organised by Moreton Island Adventures and it was one of the best run fishing cmpetitions I have had the pleasure of attending.

A family event that catered all levels of participation from the dangler to the hard core fisho and the prizes given away were unbelievable: fishing gear, camping gear, 4X4 equipment and holidays - the list was very impressive.

I'm happy to say the Moreton Island Classic is on again in 2013 between August 23 - 26, you'd be mad not to get involved, I know I will be there, wouldn't miss it.
