You do not require a guide to snorkel around the wrecks however we recommend that you are a confident swimmer and snorkel around 30 minutes before the high or low tide, aiming to be back on the beach 30 minutes after the high or low tide. At high and low tide the current becomes “slack” and you will have the best visibility and the least current pulling you. If you are unsure of your swimming ability we recommend you book a tour with our mates at Sunset Safaris http://www.sunsetsafaris.com.au/moreton-island-tours.html or contact Tangalooma to book a guided snorkel experience.
