The Wrecks

Located right next to the Moreton Islands MICAT landing point, this popular campground has various medium-sized, defined sites right in front of the famous wrecks. You don’t even need a vehicle to get to this campsite, just walk straight off the MICAT and pitch your tent. What are you waiting for?

Set in a valley, Ben-Ewa is reasonably sheltered from strong winds with medium-sized, well-defined shady campsites. Located only a short drive from the MICAT landing point, you’ll be there in no time.

Comboyuro Point

Choose from a variety of shady campsites in Moreton Island’s large camping area, which is within walking distance from Bulwer and Castaways, not to mention the amazing beaches of Moreton Island. This area offers sheltered bay waters for family fun and close to the Bulwer shipwrecks. Moreton’s snorkeling shipwrecks are also the only ones in Brisbane.

Blue Lagoon

This beach campground has many medium to large sites, with some shady sites available. Easy beach access points leading to the ocean surf beach are provided throughout Moreton’s camp grounds or take the short walking track to the lagoon and let the stresses of the day (if any!) disappear into the soft tea tree coloured fresh water.

North Point

Moreton Island Camping at the northernmost tip of the island, tucked in behind North point and Honeymoon Bay is this large grassy campground with a variety of defined sites, some with shade. Some sites are suitable for camper trailers and caravans with vehicle access and parking available in the campground. Then it’s just a walk through to the beach and spectacle of the Champagne rock pools.
